Management Committee Roles (2020-21)

NB - All Management Committee Members receive FREE MEMBERSHIP as a thank you for their hard work!
Group Leader & Chair
  • Keeping an eye on the 'bigger picture' - ensuring we're adhering to our vision and mission, and coming up with ideas to continue developing the group, and ensure our marketing and image to others is professional and current
  • Keeping the website up to date (including adding new member profiles, updating existing ones, and adding member's blogs)
  • Sending out newsletters (2-3 times a month)
  • Posting all 3 Shires meetings on Eventbrite and sending the delegate list to the Treasurer
  • Running / facilitating meetings (including contacting speakers)
  • Providing & issuing attendance certificates at meetings (where requested)
  • Ensuring appropriate resources are available for meetings
  • Arranging & chairing the Management Committee (MC) meetings - 3 times a year. Circulating an agenda in advance to other MC members for additions 
  • ICF UK Local Group - attendance at conference calls (receiving coaching updates from ICF and informing members)
Treasurer​
  • Responsible for room bookings for meetings / events (where appropriate)
  • Engaging with members to renew their membership & keep an up-to-date list
  • Invoicing members & visitors 
  • Taking payments at face-to-face meetings and keeping a register of attendees
  • Sending out receipts & checking payments have been made
  • Banking membership fees and visitor's payments
  • Contacting visitors (after their first meeting) and letting them know about the 'free coaching session' offer for all visitors
  • Sending out invoices for expenditure
  • Keeping accurate accounts for the group and providing these to the AGM, and other MC meetings where appropriate
  • Attending MC meetings (including providing the MC with up to date membership status)
Secretary
  • Attending AGM and all Management Committee (MC) meetings
  • Taking minutes at the AGM & each MC meeting, then distributing them afterwards to MC members​
Librarian
  • Co-ordinating the library storage on a rotational basis amongst the members
  • Develop a regular book review
  • Manage member recommendations for books
Marketing Officer
  • Posting meeting information on the group's LinkedIn page
  • Promoting meetings in local Facebook communities, including The Coaching Academy Facebook group
  • Sharing successes of the group, & benefits of membership, across LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Promoting the group at any networking events, where appropriate
