Biography

I have over 12 years Career Coaching experience, most recently as a Careers Consultant in Higher Education working with undergraduates and graduates.   I am a member of the Career Development Institute and the Association of Coaching. I have quite a varied working life, when I'm not coaching I work on a consultancy basis assessing school and college Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programmes under the Qualification in Careers Standards and their Gatsby Benchmarks.  I also mentor Career Leaders in schools. I have written for the Higher Education Career Service Unit online higher education website Prospects. You can see my work here.

Who do I coach?
I work at my best when I work meaningfully with clients that want to gain new insights into issues they are facing. I love to help my clients develop a new sense of purpose and direction on where they want to go next with in their career adventures. Last year I made the decision to leave my full time job to become a Clarity Career Coach so that I could use my skills and experience to serve people more fully. I have been on something of an adventure since leaving my job and have completed lots of personal development training including a Diploma in Coaching and a Certificate in Transactional Analysis.  You can read all about my qualifications and experience via my LinkedIn page.

Why Clarity Career Coaching?
Ahem well, I love working with any mindset that is open to exploring new ideas and seeing themselves in a different way. It is my belief that people don't need 'fixing' they just need the awareness to understand what is getting in the way of helping them to more forward.  These are issues that I love to explore with my clients, helping them to find their sense of purpose, both professionally and personally in life.

How do I work?

I am an intuitive and perceptive coach. I listen intently to clients who chose to work with me. As your career coach you can expect to be asked questions with curiosity and openness to bring about a new awareness for you.  I will ask you questions that will really get you to think. I offer a compassionate and non judgemental approach to my work. All work undertaken is done at your pace, to your requirements.

If you decide to work with me we will firstly get really clear on our objectives for working together. For example, we will explore what success looks and feels like for you and how you best liked to be coached.  We will discuss practical considerations about where we will meet for coaching, session timings and the number of sessions you want to work together for.

I work with clients face to face if you are based in Derby or Nottingham. I also offer appointments via Skype and phone.

Testimonials

I studied with Becky on the highly rated Certified Diploma in Coaching conferred by Warwick University. Becky came to the course as an already highly knowledgeable and experienced coach and excelled in the triad coaching. I have no hesitation in recommending Becky as a coach and indeed will be asking her to support my own projects where needed.

Becky's help has been invaluable. She has a wealth of experience to draw from, and knows just how to use it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services to anyone who needs clear, positive guidance to move forward with their professional life and personal goals. Whether you have a set idea of what you might like to achieve, or simply a vague notion of direction, Becky can cut through your confusion and set you on the right path for you.

Becky and I worked together on the Diploma in Coaching programme at Warwick University. I watched and experienced her coaching and was always impressed by her concern and attention for her coachees. She knows when to ask the incisive question and when to let the coachee think for themselves. She is an excellent coach who I can highly recommend.
