Biography
I have over 30 years of Management, Learning and Development and Coaching background.
I draw on my background as a single site and multi-site Operations Manager. My senior role in HR heading up the Learning and Development Department for a High Street Retailer gave me a different perspective and together with my coaching skills allows me to approach situations through different lenses. |
In addition to my corporate commercial background my coaching and training practice has allowed me to work in the Public Sector, Third Sector, Further and Higher Education, Manufacturing and Service Industries.
For five years I was a guest tutor at Lille Catho University in North East France where I taught the Essentials of Change and Project Management to Fourth Year Masters Students of International Business. I listen. I am curious and encourage you to be too. I create a safe and confidential environment for you to think out loud. I facilitate your thinking from different perspectives. I offer you listening space with no judgement, personal opinion or advice where you can effectively explore, identify, define and determine important goals and forward actions. As a Coach Supervisor, I am privileged to accompany you on a co-creative journey of discovery, support and resourcing. As a Leadership Mentor: I sponsor you in your leadership journey sharing resources, models, techniques and networks that may be useful to you. We learn from each other, we challenge each other. I am external to your organisational system and have worked within many different organisation cultures. Some relevant, many not but still a resource in itself. As an NLP Trainer, I can work with individuals and organisations to help their understanding of enhanced communication, motivation, limiting or blocking beliefs; acquisition of new skills to support change and success for leaders and their teams. |

Testimonials
I have known Janet for over ten years and can highly recommend her. She was a co-trainer, head of the resource team and primary coach for NLP School for seven years. During this time, I saw her use her coaching people from top executives to full time parents. She also ensured a safe training environment, using her caring and intuitive approach to spot people who had come face to face with their demons. She then elegantly guided them through often the most profound shifts their lives. Janet is a rare breed, someone with proper senior business experience who is also a transformative coach – I can’t recommend her enough.
Robbie Steinhouse,- NLP Master Trainer, ICF Accredited Coach and Author.
Janet is an amazing coach with a wealth of experience and a gentle, reassuring style that evidences her empathy, compassion and warmth. I was privileged to have Janet as my group leader for two modules of the Generative Coaching programme run by Steve Gilligan and Robert Dilts in 2015-16. What I most valued about Janet was her capacity to be fully with me in my learning journey – walking side by side with me and partnering with me in my exploration and growth as well as providing encouragement and gentle challenge. By her commitment and dedication to the role of team leader and her diligence in offering respectful observations on the practical and written course components, she created a climate of safety and acceptance that is seldom experienced in large group programmes.
Sheena Bailey- ICF Accredited Coach and Coach Supervisor
Janet is an outstanding life transition coach. I have known her for 10 years. She provided me with a precious support on a personal level when my children left home and still does on a professional level as I have my own business as a coach. Janet really helps me moving on. Her style is pragmatic, intuitive and positive.
Aurélie, Life Coach and Trainer in Interpersonal Communication.
We have really enjoyed working with Janet. We are starting to build a coaching culture within Class Of Their Own, where people are encouraged to find solutions to their own problems. Janet has gone above and beyond what we would have expected to help us implement this. We have started the coaching process with our Management Team with a view to implementing it across our entire team. Janet has been enthusiastic, and has helped us to move at our own pace, whilst ensuring that we do not allow our new found skills to lapse. In addition to our initial session, we have had follow up visits and group and individual sessions – all designed to help us implement a coaching culture. And best of all, it is starting to work – we have had some successes already, and are very much looking forward to continuing to practice and implement these new skills.
